Moreno diet: Lose weight super fast, in 4 simple steps!

If you want to lose weight healthily, choose this diet created by Dr. Mike Moreno. It can be easily adjusted depending on how much weight you want to lose. The diet consists of three phases of weak passing, plus an additional one to maintain the new weight. The main idea behind this diet is speeding up the metabolism by creating a “metabolic confusion” that increases the basal metabolic rate, accelerating fat burning. Here are the rules and principles specific to each diet phase:

Phase 1 – Accelerating (days 1-17)

This is the strictest phase as caloric intake. With a daily serving of only 1200 calories, the plan follows the general rules of low carb diets. At this stage you have to rely on lean meat, low fat dairy, fruits, vegetables without starch, green tea and water. At this stage, water is lost and metabolic rate increases.

Phase 2 – Activation (18-34 days)

This stage focuses on variation in calorie intake from less to more, in the course of a few days. This technique prevents slowing metabolism and avoid the plateau phase. If water was lost in the first round, now the fat burning accelerates. At this stage you need to consume approximately 1500 calories per day.

Phase 3 – Realize (35-51 days)

This is a period of stabilization, which focuses on developing healthful eating habits. In this phase, you will drop pounds harder. Add to your diet more cereals and fruits and give up eating lean meats. It’s allowed a 100 calorie daily snack and a glass of alcohol.

Phase 4 – Terminus (52-68 days)

This is the final stage, in which we focus on healthy eating and the meals are similar to those from the previous cycles, but weekend culinary treats are allowed. At this stage you should have reached the desired weight.
